Obituary of Mariana Lee Darrow

MARIANA LEE DARROW Mariana Lee Darrow, of Camas, died in Vancouver on Sunday August 26th . She was 73. Mariana was born in Camas June 9, 1934 to Diana Rice and Earl ?Mike? Paul. After graduating from high school in Camas she spent two years at WSU and obtained her BA in Sociology at U of W. She married Gordon Darrow in Camas in 1955. They lived in Seattle, Billings, MT and Emerson, NJ before moving to Tokyo for five years. After Gordon?s death in 1973 she moved back to Camas and has lived here since. Mrs. Darrow was a member of Vancouver Heritage Society. She served on the Camas Planning Commission in the late 1970?s until the early 1980?s. She played bridge and loved to read. She enjoyed many arts and crafts including water colors and decorating Ukrainian eggs. Mariana is survived by her son Ross in Bedford, TX and daughter Anne of Portland; brother Michael Paul of Vancouver and stepmother Zelma Paul also of Vancouver. At her request there will be no formal service.
