LENA WHITE RUITER Lena White Ruiter of Washougal died May 9, 2007 in Vancouver. She was 89. She was born December 26, 1917 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Mike and Dorothy Kaminsky. She moved to Washougal with her family at the age of 6. Attending the Bethel Community Church most of her life she worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, Rush Limbaugh and Lawrence Welk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Ruiter, a brother, John Kaminsky and a sister, Rosie Mulcrone. She is survived by two children, Carol Stelter of Washougal and Janice Sheaffer of Camas; three grandchildren, Shawn Stelter of New York, Brenden Stelter of Vancouver and Alison Sheaffer of Vancouver; two great grandchildren, Sara Stelter and Kyle Stelter of New York. A private family service will be held at a later date. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
