Obituary of Darlene Powers Chilcote

DARLENE POWERS CHILCOTE Darlene Powers Chilcote, age 74 of Washougal, passed away May 6, 2007 in Vancouver. She was born September 2, 1932 at Broken Bow, NE to Al and Eva Krenz Powers. She later moved to Twin Falls, ID and then to Vancouver where she graduated from Vancouver High School. She worked at Crown Zellerbach in Camas for approximately 20 years. Then in 1969 she became the head secretary at the Camas High School where she worked for 15 years. Darlene was a member of the VFW Post 4278 Auxiliary in Camas. She was always sewing, loved to do puzzles and going to casinos. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sister, and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Bud of Washougal; sons, Bruce Chilcote of Washougal, Jeff Chilcote of Vancouver and 3 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, May 12 at 10am at the Camas Community Center. Inurnment will be at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
