Obituary of Helen Ada Beck

HELEN ADA BECK Helen A. Beck, a former Camas resident, passed away February 23 in Vancouver at the age of 95. Helen was born November 5, 1911 in Proebstel, WA and later graduated from Sandy High School. In 1930 she married John M. Beck in Camas where they made their home. Helen worked at the twine factory in Camas before becoming a full time homemaker and grandmother. Mrs. Beck enjoyed entertaining and always had coffee on for her friends and neighbors. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and playing cards. Helen has spent the last 15 years living in Vancouver. She is survived by her son, John C. Beck of Morton, WA; daughter, Catherine Schlosser of Ocean Park, WA; granddaughters, Susan Parsons of Vancouver, Carol Delano of Vancouver, Bonnie Young of Morton, WA, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 1 at 1pm at the Camas Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
