I did not get an opportunity to know very many of Ben\'s relatives but Barbara was one I felt I knew the day I met her!! She was awesome and I always looked forward to seeking her out when we went to his family gatherings. She was the kind of person you could sit down and talk to and within minutes it was if you had known her your entire life. I am so glad I got the opportunity to meet her and to spend the handful of times with her when I went with Ben to his family gatherings. Your family was truly blessed to have such a wonderful woman and I thank you for sharing. I am Ben Tate\'s S.O. of 27 years and my son is Brandon who most of you would remember in his little karate outfit at the first family reunion I met Barb about 20 years ago Love, Debra Kellogg and Brandon Kellogg

"Mrs. P" as my family called her will be dearly missed. I have many fond memories of sitting at her kitchen table and being spoiled with soda and cookies. When my mo was unable to take me to school in the mornings, Barbara volunteered to have me come to her house to catch the bus to school. She always had hot chocolate waiting for me when I arrived. I\'ll miss her dearly.

I want to extend my condolences to all of Barbara\'s family. I just returned from an out-of-town trip and read about her passing in the paper... I regret missing her memorial service. My family had the pleasure of living near the Polleys during the 70\'s and 80\'s. Barbara was a very dear friend. Many hours were spent sharing coffee and conversation. She always made you feel welcome when visiting her house. I remember that she would even take the time to come to my school band and choir concerts when I was a kid. She always had to hitch a ride... I don\'t believe she ever got her driver\'s license! In the few times I had the opportunity to visit her since, she was just as friendly and welcoming as I remember. I will miss her.

Some of my earliest memories in life were playing up at the house with Tommy and Vicki. One memory I have I was probably 2 1/2 or 3, and Uncle Tom and Aunt Barbara just picked up a bunch of baby chicks. For whatever reason some of them got loose and we were chasing them around the yard. I must have stepped on some of them and killed them during the chase. Aunt Barbara came out and was very mad at me for trampling them. She couldn\'t have stayed mad for long though...she was always so good to my Mom and us. I loved her and will miss her alot.
