Obituary of Kathleen E. Ehlert

Kathleen Etta Ehlert was born April 9,1923 in San Francisco California to James and Etta Spong McManus. She was a graduate of the Oakland Technical High School. After Graduation and throughout WWII she worked for the San Francisco Mint. She Married Robert Francis Kelly, December 28,1945 and was divorced after many years of marriage. She remarried on April 14,1978 to Dr. Richard P Ehlert and moved from Oakland, CA to Twain Hart CA where she resided until 1994 when she moved to Vancouver, WA. She was a mother and homemaker for many years. She worked part time after the children had grown at different jobs. Kay loved the ocean, time with her family, friends and was an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Richard Ehlert, Children: Dennis & Sandy Kelly of CA., Kevin Kelly & Ruth Pavilonis of CA, Peter & Michele Ehlert of WA, Roger Ehlert of WA and Michael & Maria Ehlert of CA. Grandchildren: Ryan Kelly, Conor Kelly, Michelle Kelly, Robert & Megan Ehlert, Michael & Erin Ehlert Miller, William Ehlert, Christian Ehlert. Great Grandchild: Elizabeth Miller. She was proceeded in death by: Katie Kelly - daughter, Carl F. Fisher -brother, Jenny Fisher ? sister in-law and Meryl Ann Brown - niece. A funeral mass was held on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial was private at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
