Obituary of Norma Jean Baird

NORMA JEAN BAIRD Norma Baird, age 88, passed away Thursday, January 4 at home in Vancouver. She was born January 23, 1918 in Seattle, WA and was raised in the Puget Sound area. In 1941 she married Clyde W. Baird and the moved to Enumclaw in 1946. There she worked for Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance and retired as the Chief Executive Secretary. They then moved to Kingston and when Clyde died in 2002 she moved to Vancouver to be closer to her family. Norma and Clyde traveled a lot and they both liked to golf and bowl. They were also active in the Shriners. She is survived by her brother, Jack Purdy of Camas. At her request there will be no services. Her ashes will be inurned at the Camas Cemetery along side her husbands. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
