WILMA HEIN OBITUARY Wilma Erna Hein, age 84, of Camas, Washington, was called home to heavenly glory through faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Wilma was born on June 8, 1922 in Asheville, NC the daughter of Henry and Erna Burandt. At age 9, Wilma moved with her family to Toledo, Ohio. She moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1938 and to Dallas, Texas in 1941. On November 1, 1946 she married Walter Hein at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dallas. Walt and Wilma raised their children in Camas and were active members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal, Washington. Wilma was a dedicated homemaker and a wonderful woman of faith. She was an avid student of the Bible, participating in a variety of Bible studies throughout her life, including the Bethel Bible Series. She was a Treasure House volunteer for many years. She loved to read and was known by many for her warm, friendly smile. Wilma loved to knit and crochet often giving away the things she had made. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter and by two sons, Christopher Henry and Timothy Ernest. Wilma is survived by two sons, Norman of Long Beach, WA and Mark and wife, Mona of Wenatchee, Washington; four daughters, Kathy Loppnow of Eugene, Oregon; Elizabeth Cairns and husband, Ron of Fremont, California; Kirsten LaBauve and husband, Glenn of Dallas, Texas; and Claire Fisher and husband, Gary of Vancouver; one brother, Norman and wife, Selma of Pharr, Texas; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held this Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal. Burial will be at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Visitation will be Monday from 10am to 5pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Those wishing to honor Wilma?s memory may contribute to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
