Obituary of Vickie Lee Duback

Vickie Lee Duback of Monroe; Washington passed away suddenly in Monroe on Sept. 6, 2006. She was 62 years old. She grew up in Camas, WA and graduated from the University of Washington. For the past 30+ years Vickie enjoyed being a flight attendant, first for Pan Am Airlines and then United Air Lines. She especially loved traveling to Sydney, Australia and catching an opera during her layover. She also loved the Seattle Opera for which she was a season ticket holder. Skiing and hiking were also a pleasure when she could fit them into her busy schedule. We will never forget her fondness for the color purple, her love for her nephews and nieces, and the stories she told of her two cats, Samson and Delilah. Vickie was preceded hi death by her parents, Pete and Eileen Duback. Survivors include: her brother David and his wife, Bonnie; nephews, Nicholas and Alexander Duback, and nieces, Chelsea and Marisa Unger and Catherine Duback. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30,2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Straub's Funeral Home, 325 NE 3rd Ave., Camas, WA. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the 911 Fund or to your local ASPCA. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
