Obituary of Paul Edgar Crum, Jr.

PAUL CRUM, JR. Paul Edgar Crum Jr. died July 22, 2016, at home in Washougal. He was 84. He was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Paul enlisted in the Army in April 1951, and served in Korea from September 1951 to June 1952, receiving the rank of sergeant. He returned to Fort Hood, Texas, and was discharged in 1954. He retired after working as a postal carrier for 16 years. Paul had lived in Washougal since November 1980. Music was his interest. It began in Orem, Utah, singing at Lincoln High School in the choir, Mendelsshon's Men's Choir and Brigham Young University Men's Choir. He directed LDS church choirs and community choirs. He sang in Cabrillo Music Theatre, doing "Oliver," "Gypsy," "Man of La Mancha," "Cosi Fan Tutti" and "Iolanta." He is survived by his wife, Hannah Mae Crum; daughter, Bonnie and Jeff Dillard; sons, Paul and Nancy Crum and Stephen Crum; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held July 30, at 11 a.m., at the LDS Washougal chapel, 3920 "Q" St. Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
