Obituary of Ernest Estrada Wilmott

ERNEST ESTRADA WILMOTT Ernest E. Wilmott, age 84, passed away at his home in Vancouver on May 29, 2008. He was born February 12, 1924 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He immigrated to the United States when he was in his early 30â??s. He worked odd jobs until he became a contractor. Ernest did mostly remodels and later became a skilled cabinet maker. He moved to Vancouver in 1979 and built his own home in 1987. Ernest retired when he was 55 but kept busy in his hobby of woodworking. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his brothers, Ed of Vancouver, Horatio of California; sister, Otty Ortiz of Guatemala and several nieces and nephews. A rosary service will be held Wednesday, June 4 at 6:00PM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, June 5 at 11:00 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas.
