Shane was born in Idaho, finished childhood in California. He served in US Navy as a Boatswains Mate 03/1992 to 11/1993 on board USS Wainright CG-28 out of Charleston SC. He participated in Operation Provide Hope and received an Honorable Discharge after his ship decommissioned. His Military Decorations include Nato Medal, Sea Service Ribbon, Battle Efficiency Ribbon and the  National Defense Medal. He worked various jobs in Food Service until health conditions prohibited.

He moved to Vancouver in 2008 to be closer to the ocean and family. Shane is survived by 1 sister (Candi) and 1 brother (Shawn), many nieces and 3 nephews and, a juvenile son. Both parents and 3 siblings preceded him( Chad, Tena, Neica). Shane cared greatly about family and his close friends. He loved NFL games and spirited debates over the same. He loved the game and would hate on the players! Shane was notorious for long adventurous walks and serving earfuls to his siblings. Shane's ashes will be disbursed at the mountain of his choosing.  Special thanks to Dee, Danny and Ernie for your guidance in his final years.
