Gestures
Dad, I miss you more then words can say!! But knowing your in heaven free of the wheelchair, walking, and even dancing in heaven gives me comfort. Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ask for! Tho I miss you here on earth, I know I will see you again in heaven. I love you Dad!!!❤
I always loved Dad even in years where he struggled to live life the way he wanted to and just the same in those years, even in his own life struggles, he loved his family. I have many fond childhood memories of how tender his love was even when he was in doubt of himself.
In the later near 30 years of his life he understood from a Godly perspective the value our Father in heaven holds for every life, especially his, and it changed Dad's thinking and his love for God and all the people he would come in contact with. He was unashamed of his faith and he wanted all he knew to not only know personally Jesus who he had fully embraced, but that there is a reward of eternal life beyond this life if a choice for Christ is made. He "walked" into a life of passion for the Lord, not one to be content in the middle (luke warm).
My pride for Dad in that most precious part of his life, his undying faith years in the height of physical struggle, makes me so thankful he was my Dad. He was a loving father from beginning to end but seeing how much in the end he loved his Father God was amazing and why I miss him and mourn his loss. However, my joy for his new life and body overcomes any loss I feel, from that peace that passes all understanding (Phil. 4:7).
I can still see Dad in Church, eyes closed, the word of God being read, and that big smile overwhelming his face as his right arm begins to rase and then quickly in the air as one does in any victory, the joy of faith and love for the Word of truth being read aloud, foundational in the love for his Savior, Jesus Christ who truly set him free.
Of all the memories I have of Dad - that is my absolute favorite and knowing his passion, were he here, he'd be hoping and praying you held reason for that same victorious smile!
I love you Dad - see you soon on the other side ;>).
