ESTHER BUCHHOLZ Esther Buchholz, age 85, passed away Friday, May 21 at home in Camas. She was born April 20, 1919 in Toledo, WA to Herman and Matilda Ritari. Esther grew up in Toledo and after high school she attended business college in Seattle. She later moved to Honolulu Hawaii where she married Edward Monty and worked as a Clerk Typist. They lived in Honolulu for 13 years and were present during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Edward passed away in 1954. Esther moved back to Seattle and worked for the Army and the Veterans Administration as a Clerk Typist. When Esther went to one of her class reunions she met John Buchholz and they married on December 5, 1981 in Seattle. She then moved with John to Camas where she became an active member of Str. John?s Presbyterian Church. She also liked to help John working on his farm and they enjoyed traveling the world together. She is survived by her husband, John at home; daughters, Marian Goddard of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Carol Oppie of Seattle, WA; stepchildren, Melvin Buchholz of Camas, WA, Susan Potter of Joshua, TX, Jackie Anderson of Washougal, WA; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 26 at 1pm at St. John?s Presbyterian Church in Camas, WA. Burial will be Friday, May 28 at 1pm at the Toledo Cemetery in Toledo, WA. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas, WA is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to St. John?s Presbyterian Church @ 1206 NE Birch, Camas, WA 98607
