Obituary of Phyllis E. Schultz

PHYLLIS E. SCHULTZ Phyllis Schultz, age 87, died Saturday, June 12, in Vancouver. She was born March 18, 1917 in Gladstone, ND. She grew up in North Dakota and Montana and in 1940 she married William Schultz. They later moved to Port Angeles, WA where Phyllis worked as a beautician and owned her own beauty shop. She was the President of the Washington State Cosmetology Association from 1977 to 1979. After William passed away in 1973, Phyllis moved to Vancouver in 1974 and later to the Camas/Washougal area. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas and was active in the Catholic Daughters, Association. Phyllis was talented at traditional rug hooking, oil painting and needlepoint. She was preceded in death by her husband William; brothers, Harry & Walter Stoltz, and sister, Barbara Amundson. Survivors include her sister, Claudia Mentzer of Topeka, KS; brother, Everett Stoltz of Livingston, MT; nieces and nephews, Darwin Amundson of Brush Prairie, WA; Barbara Molyneux of Vancouver, WA, Linda Dietzman of Camas, WA, Darlene Jaeger of Big Stone City, SD, Susie Mosher, Sally Mentzer, Rusty Mentzer and Dusty Mentzer all of Topeka, KS; Jon Stoltz of Oregon; Jim, Alan and Lisa Stoltz all of Vancouver, WA; Zoe Ann Stoltz of Libby, MT; James Stoltz of Helena, MT; and Bill Stoltz of Boston, MA. An evening vigil service will be Wednesday, June 16 at 6pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass wil be Thursday, June 17 at 11am at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
