Obituary of Leslie Dale Parfitt

Please share a memory of Leslie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leslie Dale Parfitt March 9th 1957 – March 4th, 2017 Les was born in Vancouver WA on March 9th 1957 to Everett and Gerry Parfitt and was raised in Camas, WA. Les graduated Camas High in 1975. He started working for Crown Zellerbach paper mill now Georgia-Pacific in 1977 and continued working there until his retirement in March of 2016. Les was an Inspector in the maintenance department and specialized in vibration analysis among many things there. Les was a jack of all trades and loved to work on just about anything. He was the go too guy for repairs for many. He especially liked to take complex things apart to find out how they worked. Sometimes putting them back together wasn't as much fun as taking apart so he got ribbed about that from time to time. He even built his own television while in high school from a kit. Les was preceded in death by his father Everett and is survived by his mother Gerry of Washougal, Sister Terri of Vancouver, Brother Brian of Kenai AK, Sister Linda in North Dakota, Brother John of Vancouver WA, and 5 nephews and nieces. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 2pm at the AWPPW Union Hall in Camas. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers , please make donations in Les's name to Hospice Southwest. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook please visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
