Obituary of Marian Opal Smolarek

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARIAN OPAL HUDDLESTON SMOLAREK Marian Opal Smolarek of Camas, WA passed away February 16, 2017. Born to Leo Mike Huddleston and Stella Haag Huddleston, she started her life in Vetal, South Dakota October 1932. During the Depression, her family gradually moved west locating in Camas. She attended Camas High School. Marian worked for Weyerhauser/TetraPak for 25 years as an inspector, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed ceramics and was a gifted oil painter. RVing, family campouts, golfing, ski trips to Anthony Lakes were always on her calendar. Marian is survived by her children; Diana James, Sandra Dan Laintz, Terry Linda Oxley, Richard J Candi Smolarek, Jacqueline Edward Buma, Shelly Smolarek, and Debra Smolarek. She had fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Marian is survived by her sister Shirley Snow and numerous loving cousins. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Martin Bud Huddleston. Funeral arrangements are provided by Straub's Funeral Home in Camas, WA, Viewing time is Feb22, Wednesday 10-5pm. Funeral services for Marian will begin Feb 23, Thursday 11am.
