JEANNE MARTIN Jeanne E Martin, age 93 years, passed away on Thursday, Dec 29th, 2016, a longtime resident of the Camas/Washougal area. She was born June 11, 1923 in Caldwell, Canyon, ID, to Leroy Carr Beck and Martha Alice Wolcott. She came to the Camas-Washougal area in about 1948, where she met and married her husband of 47 years, the late George H Martin. Jeanne enjoyed doing genealogy, reading, making stuffed teddy bears for family and friends. She also enjoyed babysitting for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jeanne was preceded in death by husband George, who passed away in 1997, and by daughter LaDawn Martin Settje, who passed away in 1969. Jeanne is survived by two daughters, Danielle Green Cal of Camas, WA and Jeanne Kanooth Tom of Washougal, WA., 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and one sister, Becky Lane, of Nampa, ID. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Washougal on January 6th at 11am. Interment will follow at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
