Obituary of Wilford Ray Marshall

WILFORD R. MARSHALL Wilford R. Marshall, age 96, passed away on December 14, 2016. He was born February 12, 1920 in Highmore, SD. Wilford worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps before he joining the Army and serving during WWII. He spent 30 months overseas which included time in Africa and was also off the coast of Normandy on D-Day. Wilford moved to Washougal in the 1950's and worked at Crown Flour Mill in Portland. Over the years he raised a variety of animals on his farm. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dolores, in 2006. Survivors include his sons, Dennis Bonnie, Larry Cindy and Bob Marshall; brothers, Lloyd Kay and Bob Marshall; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Daniela Micu and her staff at Columbia Care Home. Depending on the weather, a service will be held on Thursday, December 29 at 1pm at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery or at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas.
